I have a B.S. in biology from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. We published the brain mapping research that I performed at Johns Hopkins in several peer reviewed journals, including Nature and The Journal of Neuroscience. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2000.
